Joy n’ Company was founded in 2016 by Rachel Scherer and Michelle Searles, inspired by their incredible event work at the Villa in San Juan Capistrano. What started as a shared passion quickly grew into a vision for a planning company that feels fresh, elevated, and committed to doing things with excellence and heart. Known for bringing energy and intention into every celebration, Joy n’ Company has always been about turning bold ideas into seamless events.

 

In 2024, Colleen Bailey joined as a partner and is now the sole owner, leading the company with a warm, creative, and client-focused approach. Having learned the ropes alongside Rachel and Michelle, Colleen continues to carry on the original mission and vision that Joy n’ Company was built on — creating celebrations that feel thoughtful, joyful, elevated, and meaningful. Rachel continues to support behind the scenes, while Michelle currently serves as Director of the Swanner House and remains a cherished part of the Joy n’ Company story. Today, Joy n’ Company continues to create feel-good celebrations that are truly unforgettable!
